Jean Paul Zalaquett

"My motivation is to create an accelerator that brings together leading electromobility organizations to think about future challenges and work together to shape what electromobility will look like in Latin America over the next 10 years."

 

Jean Paul is an electrical industrial engineer (UC), with an MBA from MIT and a Master's degree in Financial Risk from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He founded Open EV Lab after a distinguished career at the energy group Enel, where he led pioneering milestones for the region: the first fast charger in the Southern Hemisphere (2011), the first business electric fleet (2015), the first fleet of electric buses (2017), and the first high-power electric charging station alongside a ride-hailing fleet (2022). His experience in innovation and sustainability spans Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Spain, always promoting the widespread adoption of electromobility in Latin America.

With experience in electric mobility and energy innovation in Latin America, Luciano has worked in strategy, project development, and charging infrastructure in countries such as Chile, Brazil, Colombia, and the Caribbean. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sustainability Management at SDA Bocconi (Milan) and previously trained in Business Administration at the University of Chile, complementing studies in project evaluation and electromobility.
